Mediating as a Volunteer in a KCDRC program requires approval through the Learning Department. In general, after moving through our advanced level trainings, we run mock mediations and program-specific training. Our pathway to mediating at KCDRC concludes in an approval process that includes live observations, co-mediations, and evaluated solo-mediations with Learning Guides, who evaluate your mediation and reflective practice skills through a competency rubric for each program.
